On April 21, 2012 Princess Maria cruise ferry sailed on a jubilee voyage. Two years ago the Governor of St. Petersburg inaugurated the first Russian ferry line launched by ST.PETER LINE Company. To-day, the company operates two ferries. The geography of the ports of call covers main Baltic capitals: Helsinki, Stockholm, Tallinn and St. Petersburg.
From the moment of commissioning the line the ferry operator transported over 700, 000 passengers. In addition to Finnish, Estonian, Russian and Swedish nationals, citizens of China, Germany and USA also displayed great interest for the new line.
During the two years of operations Princess Maria and Princess Anastasia cruise ferries hosted a great number of important events. Many private companies appreciated the capabilities of the ships and arranged large-scale corporate celebrations aboard the ferries. The Columbus concert halls aboard both ferries hosted over a hundred performances by Finnish and Russian variety stars which allows ranking the Columbus halls alongside with major concert halls in Helsinki and St. Petersburg.
ST.PETER LINE Company has been active in arranging different social events aimed at supporting deprived and unprotected society groups. The Company was involved in different charity events that provided and opportunity for orphans and disabled persons to visit Baltic capitals free of charge.
Company ships go through regular checks and inspections including those by State Port Control Service inspectors. As a result, the ships were repeatedly recognized as fully complying with the requirements of international safe navigation conventions – without any criticism.
